I had 3 points into EA on my PBolt build due to how bad the duration of PBolt's debuffs are, but 7 seconds as the default timer is more than enough.įire Brand would not do anything on the current build I linked, as I don't have a single skill that can inflict the Burn debuff. Back in the days I leveled a D2 Lod Bone Necro with just Lvl 1 Teeth all the way till Lvl 18 to unlock Bone Spear, so I can manage not having PBolt.Įlemental Attunement would be rather pointless for a Frost Wave build, as the FW has a fixed 7 sec duration on the Freeze debuff, starting from Lvl 1.
I played PBolt long enough, I don't wanna do it again, thus why I'm asking about the Frost build, if it comes to using PBolt again I'd rather just play a new class instead. I'm almost sure it cannot because the skill doesn't say anything about having a % chance to debuff with 'Shock' for X seconds. So I already know how to use Locus, I'm just asking if it can benefit from the Lightning Brand (by itself) or not. My Elite PBolt Mage was Lvl 92 or something like that before I had an issue with my Steam/Save and ended up losing it. If the Thunder Locus + Brand doesn't work then I'll probably have to remake the whole thing. Question 2 - The wiki says that the Embermage Charge buff provides a 25% damage bonus to all skills, but does that mean:Ī) 25% of the total ~2000% damage modifier? (the modifier might be higher with perfect 3x enchants)ī) it increases the damage modifier from ~2000% to ~2025%, working in a similiar way to Elemental Boon? (reason why Boon was considered weak late game) (it says 'Shocked enemy' and I'm assuming it means the debuff that other skills like PBolt inflict, not a regular lightning based hit)
The Skill build on the other hand is something I need help with: Question 1 - Does Thunder Locus triggers the damage bonus from the Lightning Brand at all? Also, I already know where to farm the skulls, I've done it once, so I'm not really worried about this part. The stats I did the math way back then, with the gears they'll add up to a 95.3% Crit Chance. Hoping you guys could help me out on a few details to get this build right: Just started making my 1st Frost Mage (had an Elite PBolt before) and I noticed that the old forums seem to be dead, so I can't really find the guide I saw all those years back.
